Lessons Learned: A Weekend of Unexpected Events

I had one of those weekends tht I was planning on.  Have you ever had one like that?  I thought I was going to be doing one thing, but then it turned out completely differently.  Here are my lessons learned from this weekend:
  1. Going to casino night is always a good decision... just don't expect the results you have to translate into a real winnings in Vegas... you always play differently when it isn't real money.
  2. If I lose my job, I would not be good at the world's oldest profession.  On Saturday night (it was snowing significantly) and I was trying to get a cab in cold, snowy Dupont for 20 minutes.  I had to move from corner to corner with no luck.
  3. Buiding your "street cred" is hard work.  Just remember, real life is hard... it is OK t have fun once in a while.
  4. Listening to Bon Jovi always puts me in a good mood.
  5. Habitual complainers are unhappy people and make those around them miserable (not that this is a new revelation, but come'on people... cheer up!)
My weekend turned out to be very unexpeced, but very glorious.  I miss seeing my friends and I am glad I took advantage of the unexpected and had  wonderful time.
