What is the one thing in life that you are going to do to make the world a better place?

Have you ever thought about that question? I do all the time.

Have you ever asked it of someone else? I have, but not lately. I will be asking it more.

The response is often, have children. That is a perfectly fine response, but how are you going to change the world for them?

Have you ever talked to a homeless person just to hear their story?

Have you ever stood up for a friend? A stranger?

Have you ever said what you know to be right in the face of adversity?

Have you ever told someone it is ok to be different because if we were all the same, nothing would ever happen?

Have you ever just smiled to someone who is yelling at you? To someone just walking down the street?

Have you ever done something that you didn't want to do, but did it to help someone else?

Have you ever thought about what you would do with your days if money was not an issue?

I have.

My point is not to say I am a great person (far from it) but to demonstrate that it doesn't take a massive stroke of goodwill to change things. It often begins with something small and meaningful to one person.

Don't forget that.
